What type of political experience do you have? I have close to 15 years of government experience, working for the Mayor’s Office, the State Comptroller’s Office and as an advocate for our community.

What are you running for? To make a difference. With the experience that I have, I think it’s my responsibility that I step up when needed.

What does your district consist of? Borough Park and parts of Midwood/Flatbush

What made you decide to go into the world of politics? I’m not interested in politics – I’m interested in helping our community through effective government. But politics is a door to that opportunity.

In your opinion what is the job of the assemblyman? First and formost, to be an effective legislator; to make certain that our community has a seat at the table; to ensure that legislation is passed that is vital to our interests and the interests of all New Yorkers.

What do you think is going to be the most challenging part of the assemblyman’s job? Dealing with diverse personalities and varying positions. But I’ve been doing that for years and I welcome the challenge.

Endorsements– First and foremost, I strive to receive the endorsement of every individual constituent in the 48th assembly district.

On the local front; almost all of our community’s mosdos, Senator Simcha Felder, Assemblyman Dov Hikind and Councilman Kalman Yeger. I was also honored to receive the endorsement of former U.S. Senator Joseph Lieberman. We will be announcing some additional endorsements in the final 2 weeks of the campaign.

How did you meet Senator Joe Lieberman? I first met Senator Lieberman approximately 15 years ago. I approached him as we were seeking help with cemeteries being endangered aboard. I must add, he immediately took action. This is an individual that the way he has conducted himself throughout his entire career is really an example of Kiddush Hashem in public office
