CRC CORRECTION
Dear Vues Master:
The CRC is publicizing that an establishment that was never under their supervision is advertising as CRC certified in your publication. They also write that you were unwilling or unable to remove the false advertisement. That is highly problematic, and will in the run erode the public trust in your publication. If it is true, then please remove the advertisement until it is corrected, and if it is not true then please vindicate yourself in public (and not just in your own publication).
Thank you, YK
Vues Master’s Note: Two things. Number one we don’t research every advertisement that comes in if it is accurate. The problem is with the store and not us. We are not a Hashgocha organization. Number two we are very disappointed in this hashgacha as they claim they have reached out to us when the opposite is true. We have not received a phone call or an email from CRC Chicago. How are we supposed to trust an organization who puts an ad on Matzav and says that they have repeatedly tried to contact us. Your letter came in ok where was the hashgocha’s communiqué? I think part of the ne’manus of a Kashrus organization is not to mislead the public by saying they contacted us when they did not!
COUNTRY EDITION
Dear Vues Master:
Just wanted to tell you that my family LOVED the new Yenta Edition of The Country Vues. It’s amazing how many heimishe businesses are upstate these days. I was surprised to hear that three new fleishig restaurants are opening this summer with both fasts being on Sundays & one Sunday is during the Nine Days. I wish all the business hatzlacha & we look forward to the Country Vues every summer. Keep up the great work!!!

Vues Master’s Note: We are so excited that we were able to once again provide entertainment and news to the Catskills. We pride ourselves on being the Country Vues, a Jewish newspaper! With Jewish entertainment. Thanks for patronizing us.
SHALOM ALEICHEM
Dear Vues Master:
According to R.S.Y. Elyashiv zt”l, When saying קידוש לבנה one may say שלום עליכם to someone who is in middle of the ברכה and will not answer back עליכם שלום . The Nusach of לבנה קידוש only calls for to say שלום עליכם Answering back עליכם שלום is not part of קידוש לבנה . It’s done as דרך ארץ to answer back when someone wishes you .שלום עליכם MF Vues Master’s Note: I could have saved so much time. I always look for a guy who is not in the middle of the Bracha. LAMB Dear Vues Master: A visitor to the Biblical Zoo in Jerusalem was stunned to see a lion and lamb lying together in an enclosure. “Isaiah’s prophecy has come true,” he said to the zookeeper. “These are the days of משיח .” The zookeeper responded: “It is a remarkable sight. The only problem is that every morning and afternoon, we need to give him a new lamb.”

Vues Master’s Note: This sounds like a chassidisher maaseh. Mamesh a Moifes.
SOMEWHERE IN THE MIDDLE
Dear Vues Master:
Why must people be pro the police or anti the police? Police are necessary, and they should also be accountable for their actions, just like everyone else. Nobody insists that all teachers are bad, and nobody insists that teachers should be allowed to be abusive. AR Vues Master’s Note: Good point. This is Politics today we need to be extreme. If someone has the chutzpah to try to say they believe in religion he or she is immediately called a racist! FLU Dear Vues Master: Nobody who follows my advice about the flu ever contracts the flu. The advice: “Do not contract influenza.” In lieu of a doctor’s fee, you may donate to Chai Lifeline. You’re welcome!
NM
Vues Master’s Note: My advice is not to contact you as a Dr. Stupidity is contagious so I would not follow you around!
FATHER AND SON, WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO?
Dear Vues Master:
Daniel Patrick Moynihan said: The institution of the family is decisive in determining not only if a person has the capacity to love another individual but in the larger social sense whether he is capable of loving his fellow men collectively. I hope my son will hear this pearl of wisdom, sooner than later, and the other one he said, that people are entitled to their own opinions but they are not entitled to their own facts. Perhaps my song will stir him. Do you know where you’re going? Do you like the things that God is showing you? Where are you going, do you know? Do you get what you’re hoping for? When you look ahead there are no open doors. What are you hoping for, do you know? Once we were walking well in time, Chasing the future that filled our minds. And you knew how I loved you but your spirit was free, Laughing at the questions that you once asked of me. Do you know where you’re going? Do you like the things that God is showing you? Where are you going, do you know? Now looking back at all we’ve planned, We let so many plans just slip through our hands. Why must we wait so long before we’ll see How simple the answers to those questions can be? Do you know where you’re going? Do you like the things that God is showing you? Where are you going, do you know? Do you get what you’re hoping for? When you look ahead there are no open doors. What are you hoping for, do you know?
D G
Master’s Note: Unfortunately your song is not music to my ears.
TASTE
Dear Vues Master:
An סרוקיפא once boasted to the בר רקסירב that he was רבוע all of the תווצמ in the Torah, including eating ריזח. “If so,” the בר responded, “you’re greater than the Rambam.” “How so?” the סרוקיפא asked in amazement. “Because,” the בר explained, “in ישילש קרפ םיכובנ הרומthe Rambam, after stating the reasons for all the תווצמ, admits that he doesn’t know the .ריזחל םעט But you do know the םעט of ריזח.”
BM
Vues Master’s Note: Do you think this joke was said in good taste?
BIDEN
Dear Vues Master:
In all the drama of the Netanyahu exit and Bennett entrance, an important detail in Israeli issues was missed by many. In his parting speech, Netanyahu claimed that American President Joe Biden demanded Israel stop all settlement building. There are many points that seem to support Netanyahu’s contention that President Biden demanded a settlement building freeze. If it’s true, and I see no reason to think it isn’t true, anyone who cares about Israel and the U.S. – Israel relationship should be concerned. Many Zionists who believe in the two state solution might not only be unconcerned but gratified at a settlement freeze. They might – mistakenly believe – that an American pressured settlement freeze – will keep the two state solution viable. The mistaken assumption that building in the settlements impedes the two state solution. Building in Judea and Samaria is essential to Israel’s future. Israel’s housing market is at the top of its 73 year bubble, with houses unaffordable for newly married families. Houses in Judea and Samaria are more affordable and affect the entire Israeli housing market. A building freeze would exacerbate the problem. The demand that Israel not build in Judea and Samaria is based on the notion that this area – The West Bank – will eventually be a Palestinian state and every Jewish home takes away from a future Palestinian state. Yet, ask Palestinians if they think their state will be limited to the West Bank and they’ll respond, “From the River to the Sea, Palestine will be free.” The only people who think a potential Palestinian state will be confined to the West Bank are Americans who don’t know Palestinians and assume what they think is fair matters in a corner of the world that largely ignored outsiders. Stopping to build in the West Bank as an appeasement to the Palestinian desire for a state will start in the West Bank but won’t stop until it ends in Haifa, Jaffa and Jerusalem. Don’t fool yourself in thinking otherwise. Only by continuing to build in Judea and Samaria will a Jewish state keep Jerusalem, Jaffa and Haifa as well. Lastly, American pressure and interference in Israeli policy should never be something anyone who cares about Israel desires. Prescribing to Israel, even policies you might agree with, creates a slippery slope that will never end in a positive place for Israel I’m not happy that President Biden feels he has the right to dictate and pressure Israel to adopt policies because he feels their best for Israel. This is wrong of President Biden and no matter how much you wanted him President, you should disapprove of his interference and pressure. Let’s hope Israel’s leaders have the wisdom to simply ignore President Biden’s demand to stop building in Eretz Yisrael Zionists have always been pioneers settling land others told Jews wasn’t theirs to build on. We’ve always ignored them and we should continue to ignore their demands.
RUP
Vues Master’s Note: Well we know where the Democrats stand as far as Israel. The party has now openly taken and consoned an anti semitic stance! How sad! Problem must be there are a lot of dead anti semitic voters so it will be hard to get Biden out of office!
TRADITION
Dear Vues Master: Rumor has it that tradition soups out sold amazon prime week 2 to 1 as all kids are on the way to camp. I think Amazon will reschedule prime days next year so it does not coincide with children going to camp. This has been a poor attempt at a joke.
SB
Vues Master’s Note: It is aptly called tradition soup as it has become a tradition for every camper and counselor to subsist on this food for eight weeks!
LACE CAP SHAITEL
Dear Vues Master:
I am not understanding what the controversy with these sheitels are? Can you shed some light? Before I shed some hair trying to decide what wig to buy? Is this a cover-up of a big problem? I think if you can answer this I would recommend you as a person who can extricate someone from hairy situations.
KO
Vues Master’s Note: All kidding aside this is a question you should ask your Rabbi. Is it a lack of tznius for a woman to show off something that may look like her scalp etc. It is really easy to be stringent if you are a man. I believe every woman should be in touch with her husband’s Rabbi for guidance.
ASIDE FROM CANDIDATES
Dear Vues Master:
We are extremely troubled that you seem to be taking advertisements from a 2x convict who does not represent Jewish values in any way. You refuse to include the face of candidate Amber Adler because she is a woman, but you’ll take advertising from Tischler who invited Neo-Nazi groups to Jewish neighborhoods? We seriously question your commitment to the Jewish community. We wrote to Simcha Eichenstein who seemed to be slyly siding with this person who has brought a black eye to the Jewish community (see below). As a group of parents with big reach who include doctors, dentists, lawyers, CPAs and small business owners in the Jewish communities we serve, we would be nauseated if our advertisements appeared near this person who has made nothing but trouble for the Jews in our combined communities. Honestly if you take ads like this from this person, we can’t see advertising with you in the future and we cannot see bringing your publication into our homes. We are concerned that you seem to be endorsing a troublemaker for the entire Jewish community and anyone in that neighborhood. If you are, please clearly speak up so we know if you are a friend to this community or known associate of Heshy Tischler. We need to know if you are someone that we should take our trust away from. If you are not, speak up louder. This person makes terrible trouble and danger for anyone in his neighborhood and the Jews of New York. His disgusting actions have painted a target on Jews. Why are you seeming to support him? We need to know please. We all really liked you so much, but if you support this terrible human, we no longer can support your office and will seek another candidate to support in the next elections. We are a group of parents living in or around the Midwood section of Brooklyn. Unfortunately, some of us also live within the 48th District. We are frum parents, not frum parents, Syrian parents, Yeshivish parents, Ashkenaz and Sephardic. We have many voter friends in the non-Jewish communities wondering at your own loyalties and questioning your actions. Our backgrounds are different, but we all agree on one thing – we need unity in our neighborhood and in our votes. Heshy Tischler is one of the worst things to have happened to the Jewish community of New York State in years. He is dangerous and invites white supremacists, Black Live Matter thugs and Palestinians in search of violence to our area. This is not someone who should chas vi’shalom win any election ever. The Daily News spoke up against this (see below). Why haven’t you? This person does not respect others of any age and makes trouble for those in his path. If you have not spoken up against him, we have to believe he has either scared you silent, or you are somehow choosing this inciter individual. If you are secretly endorsing him, please speak up. People should clearly know your choices so they can make their own. We no longer wish to support your office in any way if you don’t care about us or our safety. This person makes a mockery of elections and even Judaism. Your siding with him means you do as well. Antisemitism is up over 400%. This person even pretending to represent any of us paints a target on our neighborhoods. You must tell your constituents to choose anyone but this person who causes terrible problems for the Jewish community of New York. If your cutesy appearance in his video was meant to show you endorse him, you must be crystal clear. He incited violence against journalists and others. Calling his actions “crazy” makes us worry about your own judgement as a professional and elected official. We are a small but powerful group that includes lawyers and dentists, doctors, store owners, accountants, shadchanim, people of every profession along with mothers who have big lists of people in their Whatsapp groups. We are loud and can be louder than this horrible person who caused many of us great agmas nefesh as a community. Only you won’t hear about it when we tell people about why we can no longer stand with your office as someone who claims to represent Jews in the area. He must be stopped from achieving any political role. Not only isn’t he qualified, he is an inciter who pleaded guilty to a judge and a two-time felon. Who wants this as a representative? None of us do. If you are running for office in the future and endorse this troublemaker, it will be remembered come election time for you. If you do not protect us, you are against us. If you are against us, we can not support a future campaign for you. Signed Midwood Parents Association (we will not put our names to this since that evil person has threatened members previously). See below for Daily News article Who To Vote Against: In Brooklyn’s 48th District, don’t vote for loathsome Heshy Tischler. He essentially incited a riot last spring, and did jail time for his role in a fraud scheme promising immigrants jobs at fake companies. He’s got leadership skills that he uses for bad ends, like encouraging neighbors to physically menace a Jewish journalist at a protest against COVID restrictions. He called Mayor de Blasio’s wife a “retard woman” and “kurva,” The ranked-choice ballot lets you rank first through fifth. Leave his name blank.
MA
Vues Master’s Note: It is amazing when the frum did not want the kids at risk renting for the conservative shul they were called ugly names by the conservative Jews that we must give everyone a chance. The minute an orthodox Jew says something not to their liking one is not supposed to give him another chance at proving himself. Just remember we do not judge our advertisers nor our politicians. Everyone can make their own educated decision to see that we are living in a world that if you don’t think like me you are a racist. I’ve been called a racist because I supported Trump who was good to the Jews and Israel. Hey! We are all entitled to our opinion. We are all entitled to another chance.
FUN PAGE
Dear Vues Master:
So, you think it’s OK to post garbage on your “Fun Page”? A cartoon of Dr. Fauci is not only disgusting, it’s something one would expect from a teenager. Then again, I don’t expect much from the Orthodox/Hassidic community when it comes to intelligent conversation. Your narrow mindedness is on full display. The image of Trump also says how blind the community is. The images are political, and not funny. Is this what you teach your kids? I wonder. As a Jew, I find this inappropriate. Sullivan County is more than Orthodox communities. And you wonder why so many in the area feel the way they do when they see and have to deal with the Orthodox/Hassidim every summer. Give respect, and perhaps you’ll receive respect.

Vues Master’s Note: I will let the readers decide if this letter is bigoted or not? Does this letter reek? We don’t need to agree but we are entitled to our opinions as the letter writer is. No need to hate on us as we don’t hate on you. Regarding respect. What came first, the chicken or the egg? Maybe if you will show respect and not thumb your nose at tax paying property owners who come to boost your economy they will reciprocate. Who is the host here?
