30 May BLACKBERRY COBBLER
INGREDIENTS:
Filling:
24 ounces of blackberries
Quarter cup of sugar
zest and juice of one lemon
Quarter cup of flour
Topping:
2/3 cup sugar
3/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
Dash of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 tablespoons melted
margarine
DIRECTIONS:
This incredible cobbler is loaded with juicy
blackberries and topped with a sugar cookie
topping.
Mix lling ingredients all together in a greased
8 x 8 baking pan.
Mix topping together and press pieces of the
topping like a cookie on top of the blackberries
till it covers most of the top. Bake in a 350° oven
for 40 minutes.
This can be made with any type of berry – you
can use strawberries, or blueberries, or
raspberries, or even a mixture of them. Follow
your LOR for checking procedures.
Enjoy with some vanilla ice cream!
