15 Aug BROWN BUTTER BROWNIES
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 sticks margarine
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cup brown sugar
3 eggs
3/4 cup flour
Dash of salt
1/2 cup chocolate
chunks
DIRECTIONS
This rich fudgy brownie is made with
brown butter (or in this case margarine
to keep it pareve) the use of brown
butter adds a real depth of avor.In a
small sauce pan, melt one and a half
sticks of margarine over a low ame for
about 15 minutes until you see that the
margin is starting to get golden and
color. Continue to stir this as it cooks.
Add the cocoa powder and vanilla to the
browned butter and whisk then add
your eggs and brown sugar and fold in
your our and salt and chocolate chips.
Transfer to a parchment lined 8 x 8
baking pan and bake at 350 for 30 to 35
minutes depending on your oven.
