30 Nov Crispy Rainbow Trout
INGREDIENTS:
TROUT:
6 Rainbow Trout Fillets scant 1-1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground pepper (it makes a difference)
2 tsps paprika
3 Tbs olive oil
ISRAELI CABBAGE SALAD:
Red Cabbage shredded (You can use the 10 ounce bag of shredded cabbage)
3-1/2 Tbs light mayonnaise
1 Tbs lemon juice
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
DIRECTIONS:
Now that Thanksgiving 2020 is in the past, we are eagerly looking forward to Chanukah. For those of us, like me, I will save my calories for the Chanukah treats and try to eat healthy meals. Here’s a favorite that is prepped and cooked inside of fifteen minutes.
Preheat Broiler
Spray broiler pan with non-stick cooking spray
Rinse Trout and pat dry
Arrange filets in pan
Season with salt, pepper and paprika
Drizzle oil over fish.
Broil for 5-7 minutes until brown and edges start to crisp
Serve the fish with this Israeli Cabbage salad:
Mix together ingredients till cabbage is well coated. You will have a colorful tasty dinner and you can then not feel guilty in partaking in the yummy Chanukah desserts.
