    FISH TACOS

    INGREDIENTS:

    FISH:

    2 tablespoons vegetable oil

    1 tablespoon lime juice

    2 teaspoons ground cumin

    2 teaspoons paprika

    1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

    1/4 teaspoon salt

    1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

    1 pound white fish (such as cod, snapper, tilapia)

    LIME CREMA:

    1/4 cup sour cream

    3 tablespoons mayonnaise

    1 tablespoon fresh lime juice zest from half a lime

    1/4 teaspoon salt

     

    DIRECTIONS:

    These delicious fish tacos topped with lime crema are perfect to celebrate Shavuos or any day!

    Prepare the fish: Preheat the oven to 425°F. In a small bowl, combine vegetable oil, lime juice, and seasonings. Coat fish in marinade and refrigerate for 15 minutes. Bake for 9-10 minutes until the fish is flaky when tested with a fork. Transfer the fish into a plate and break into smaller pieces. Make the lime crema: In a small bowl, whisk together all the crema ingredients (sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice, lime zest, and salt). Set aside. Assemble your tacos I like to lightly char my tortillas over an open flame. Divide the fish between the tacos. Top with some lime crema, cabbage slaw, mango salsa etc…
