During Monday Night Football against the Detroit Lions in Week 1, Isaiah Crowell finished with 102 rushing yards, including a 62-yard touchdown run as the Jets won 48-17. Crowell, is a goal-line and short-yardage running back, something the Jets have been missing since Chris Ivory left for Jacksonville. A complement to Bilal Powell and Elijah McGuire, Crowell is also a solid pass-catcher out of the backfield.

How does it feel to be on the Jets? Really good. I’m glad to be here. I want to be a big-time player here. I want to prove it to my coaches and my teammates that I’ve got what it takes to be an every-down back and help my team win games.
How do you like playing the west coast offense of football? I like the system they have. I like everything. I feel like it’s a good place to be. I just felt really good about it.
What do you feel you can bring this year to the New York Jets offense? I feel like I can bringing a lot. I feel like I can do it all. I feel I can catch out of the backfield. I feel like yards after contact. I feel like I can do it all. I just gotta get out there and prove to my teammates, coaches what I can do.
