13 Jul HATZOLAH AIR MOVED IT’S WORLD HEADQUARTERS FROM WESTCHESTER TO SULLIVAN COUNTY AIRPORT
This past month, Hatzolah Air headquarters moved officially from Westchester to Sullivan County’s Airport in the Town of Bethel – where the non-profit organization is leasing an undeveloped section of the airport from the County and is also partnering with the Sullivan County Sheriff ’s Office and County Emergency Management to bolster local emergency operations.
Hatzolah Air plans to build a hangar for 4 jets and 2 helicopters, and a fuel farm which it will convey ownership to the county.
It will pay the county $18,000 annually to cover required permitting and maintenance costs as well as a surcharge of 30-cents per gallon. operation.
Hatzolah Air will pay Sullivan County $300-per-month for lawn-mowing, snow removal and other maintenance activities. The county will work with Hatzolah Air to identify funding sources for the tarmac and other shared spaces while generous donors will pay for the construction of the buildings and infrastructure necessary for the new hangar and headquarters. “We look forward to partnering with Sullivan County to operate a world-class lifesaving effort from its airport,” said Eli Rowe, Hatzolah Air’s President and one of its founders, who is also a part-time county resident.
Hatzolah Air has signed a 30- year lease on just under 22 acres for $18 per year for as long as Hatzolah Air holds the lease, for a potential total of 120 years.
Until their new hangar is built, Hatzolah will occupy the airport’s Hangar 7, of some 9,000-square- feet and is finishing the customization of a temporary HQ adjacent to the hangar.
Last year, while hangared at Westchester County Airport, Hatzolah Air purchased over 400,000 gallons of fuel for its operation that had 2 jets then and now flies a fleet of Citation X aircraft and a
Gulfstream G550.
Hatzolah Air Is an independent 501c3 Organization and funded by donations. Their current fleet of 4 aircraft is expanding and adding an additional 7 aircraft for a total of 11 aircraft strategically situated across North and South America, Europe and Israel.
