    DIRECTIONS:  This dish will impress your guests. It sounds fancy but really it only takes a few key ingredients to make a delicious melt in your mouth Italian veal dish. Start with about 4-6 veal shanks season them with salt pepper garlic and thyme – sear them on both sides in a cast iron pot. Add one diced carrot, a diced red onion and a can of diced tomatoes. Cover with about 2/3 of a cup of white wine and let it simmer way for at least an hour and a half until the meat is falling off the bone and is soft and delicious. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes to absorb all the delicious gravy.
