    PASTRAMI JAM

    INGREDIENTS:

1 12 oz package of pastrami chopped

    2 large onions chopped

    4 cloves minced garlic

    1 cup brown sugar

    1/4 cup red wine vinegar

    2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar

    2 Tbsp bourbon

    2 Tbsp water

    Pepper to taste

    DIRECTIONS:

2 weeks ago I tasted this amazing “bacon” jam and knew I needed to recreate something. We love dips with our challah on Shabbat and this is definitely going to be our new favorite

This pastrami jam is perfect. You can eat it like a dip with challah, crackers, on a burger or sandwich or by the spoonful

In large frying pan sautée pastrami until crispy Add chopped onions and cook about 5 minutes until they start to soften

Add the garlic and stir for 2 minutes

Add remaining ingredients, mix well and let simmer for 5 minutes

** This can keep In the fridge for 2 weeks. As it cools it will thicken
