23 Jun Stone Fruit Crisp
INGREDIENTS:
For the filling
3 pounds assorted stone fruit sliced
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
Juice of lemon
For the topping
1 stick margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup flour
1 cup old fashioned oats
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
DIRECTIONS:
Stone fruit crisps are such easy and delicious way to use seasonal produce such as peaches, nectarines, apricots and plums. In this version and I used apricots and nectarines but feel free to mix up the fruit and even add some berries if you’d like.
Preheat the oven to 350°. Place lling ingredients in 9 x 13 or 3 qt baking dish Gently toss to combine. Combine topping ingredients and sprinkle evenly over fruit. Bake for approximately 1 hr until the top is golden brown and you see the fruit bubbling. Serve with vanilla ice cream or soy ice cream to keep pareve.
