    SCHUMER

    Dear Vues Master:

In 1998, many people were annoyed that Al D’amato called Chuck Schumer a putzhead. (See D’Amato: Schumer’s A ‘Putzhead’ | Jewish Week (timesofisrael.com) for details.) It’s been said that this comment may have caused Schumer to defeat D’Amato for the Senate seat. Schumer has been absent frequently at critical Jewish-related events. His recent silence on the Hamas attacks on Israel, the consistent anti-Semitic verbiage from the Squad, and the anti-Semitic attacks on Jews throughout the U.S., especially in his home state are a few examples of his consistent hiding. Yet, he frequently touts himself as a “Shomer Yisrael” – A guardian of Israel. This is a deceitful lie. He should be named an “Ocher Yisrael” – A deceiver of Israel. What D’Amato claimed about Schumer 23 years ago is accurate. Schumer is STILL a putzhead.

    DF

Vues Master’s Note: He is the leader of the Sedom party! Once known as the Democrat party. He does not like Jews and is a self hating Jew!

    HATE IS NO GAME

    Dear Vues Master:

Political opportunities provide enticing opportunities. The desire to take advantage of such incidents results from the desire for more votes. On the surface, in the political world, this seems normal. Normal reactions are inevitable. There are, however, those incidents that should not receive the normal political reaction. The tragedies are when a political mindset overtakes what is moral and correct. Despite the naive tone and excuse of “it’s just politics,” the reaction should solely be the truth. Since the start and end of the crisis between Israel and Hamas recently, anti-Semitism has risen significantly. According to the ADL, last week, anti-Semitic incidents rose 48% across the U.S. compared to the week before. These incidents have flourished because of pro-Palestinian thugs who feel the right to attack anyone Jewish. Multiple incidents included these thugs asking people on the streets, “Who’s Jewish?” “Are you Jewish?” These incidents have risen from the rhetoric of falsely accusing Israel of crimes, genocide, and terror. The lies promulgated by Bernie Sanders, AOC, Ilhan Omar, Rashida Tlaib, and others are what have fomented the rise in the rhetoric to legitimize attacking Jews. The President of the United States of America, who also happens to be the leader of the Democrat party, has not commented on the vile, disgusting incidents promulgated by prominent members of his party. Even Jewish Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer was as quiet as a cricket. Silence during important times speaks volumes and the Democrat party has shown its true colors. Some lawmakers who originally promulgated the violence did condemn the anti- Semitic incidents, but as we know, “actions speak louder than words.” According to some estimates, Joe Biden received over 60% of the Jewish vote last November, continuing a streak of Democrats winning the Jewish vote. Isn’t it time to start asking the uncomfortable question, why? Why do the majority of Jews vote for a political party that has prominent members who foment violence against them? If the answer is “orange bad man” or “mean tweets” then there are more problems in your life than a few mean tweets. As Jewish Americans, we need to do all we can do with our elected officials to support Israel and Jews in the U.S., but the next time at the ballot box, think about who you want those officials to be.

    Sincerely, D S G

Vues Master’s Note:Well! Get used to this. As long as the Democ”rats” are in power we will see more of this not less of this!

    CHINA VIRUS

    Dear Vues Master:

Follow the virus: the latest revelation of 3 Wuhan Institute of Virology researchers who were hospitalized with Covid-like symptoms in Nov 2019, should not be reigniting the debate if it escaped from the lab. It should be conclusive evidence to the fact. How many more smoking guns do we need to prove it. It’s been proven beyond a reasonable doubt by this point. The people covering it up are the evil Dr. Grouchy and Co. who actually founded gain of function research in that exact lab. Of course they tried hiding their involvement but as always just follow the money and you’ll see how these evil crooks have the blood of tens of millions on their hands without a doubt.

    MN

Vues Master’s Note: But just stick up for the Chinese they are an example of human rights with Taiwan Hong Kong and them jailing the Moslem Mongols. But they are quick to pass judgement against Israel. What hypocrisy!

    FEDERAL STUDIES

    Dear Vues Master:

Federal studies are worthless. The latest federal study shows that the $300 unemployment boost has only a small effect on recipients’ decisions to take jobs. Oh really? Are they so stupid to expect us to believe that garbage. C’mon man, if you make more money not to work than to work, why would you work. It seems that common sense is elusive these days. As my friend so eloquently put it, common sense was the sense most affected by Corona.

    MB

Vues Master’s Note: This is the same Federal Govt. busy telling us we can’t use pro nouns!

    AOC STILL A BARTENDER?

    Dear Vues Master:

AOC is just laughable. She said that she’s going for therapy to help her deal with “extraordinarily traumatizing” Jan. 6 Capitol assault. Um… Hasn’t it been proven countless times that she wasn’t even in Congress but rather a block away at the time of the storming of the Capitol.

    LK

Vues Master’s Note: On Jan 6 she served herself too many drinks! She is the evil drek of Sedom!!

    ALL TALK NO ACTION

    Dear Vues Master:

Our most friendly mayor de Blasio who is running this city into the ground released a statement “Anti-Semitism isn’t just a threat to our Jewish community, it’s an attack on our entire city. The perpetrators will be brought to justice”. Stupid political banter. No meaning behind his statement.

    BL

Vues Master’s Note: Why do you think a leopard will change his spots? He is all talk no action except when it comes to bashing the Orthodox for having Corona but not giving them vaccines!!

    KOHANIM

Dear Vues Master: The reason םינהכ must remove their shoes for Duchening is, 1) there might be a ןהכ with torn shoe strap 2) who will be embarrassed (to Duchen with torn shoes) 3) he will fix the strap 4) he will miss the Duchening (busy fixing) 5) and people say he is a השורג ןב. (Pasul Kohen) Chazal were very concerned we should not embarrass another Yid They prevented this unlikely sequent of events ( all 5 things have to happen) by having all םינהכ go shoeless to Duchen even though it’s highly unlikely for all this to ever happen.

    RP

Vues Master’s Note: Turns out that my friend stole the Kohen’s shoes. Hope he gets the bracha! I heard that one who takes the shoes does not get a bracha. Is that true?

    LOSHON HORO

    Dear Vues Master:

A door-to-door salesman knocked on the door of a house, trying to sell a copy of the םייח ץפח. The תיבה לעב said “Thank you, we don’t need it because we never speak ערה ןושל. But you should try our next door neighbor. He really could use a רפס like that.”

    LH

Vues Master’s Note: Can I publish such horrible stories? Is it Loshon Hora or Rechilus? Hope it is just a joke.

    WHAT?

    Dear Vues Master:

Yankel met a friend who excitedly told him that he got a hearing aid. “It cost me a few thousand dollars,” the friend said, “but it’s the best in the world. I can finally hear a pin drop.” “What kind is it?” Yankel asked. Smiling, his friend replied “It’s 2:15.”

    DF

Vues Master’s Note: I heard he changed his will ten times in three days!

    TAKANOS

    Dear Vues Master:

We have takanos to keep weddings from being too ostentatious. Time for takanos to keep the music from being so deafening.

    TW

Vues Master’s Note: Well if we make takanos and people don’t keep them why bother making them. Music being lower people won’t listen one way or the other either they can’t hear or the music is too loud so they can’t hear anything else so no listening!

    WHAT’S COOKING

    Dear Vues Master:

A cartoon in the fun section reads “My kids mock me for not understanding technology and then Google how to boil an egg.” But as an adult, you were there when much of modern technology was invented. On the other hand, it is the parent’s responsibility to teach a child how to boil an egg.

    CQ

Vues Master’s Note: If the parent will not teach then the children will end up with egg on their face!

    TEST

    Dear Vues Master:

After years of waiting, a prominent family finally had a son. The parents very much wanted to know whether the child would grow up to be a םכח דימלת or a businessman, so they decided to give him the וניבר השמ ןחבמ, who was tested by הערפ with the burning coal and royal crown. They placed a רפס in one edge of the child’s crib and a checkbook in another edge to see which one he would grab. To their surprise, he took both. “Great,” the father said, “It looks like he’s going to be a הבישי שאר.”

    LO

Vues Master’s Note: Ha! That is funny! I would say he would be a Moocher Sefarim. Or a great Seforim collector. Let’s see if he ends up passing the test of time!

    SENIORS WITH DISABILITIES

    Dear Vues Master:

Senator Simcha Felder and the Senate Democratic Majority recently passed legislation to protect and support elder New Yorkers and New Yorkers with disabilities. The package of legislation passed by the Senate Majority to protect seniors includes: • Elder Abuse Prevention Training: This bill, S.5196B, directs the State Office of the Aging to develop elder abuse prevention training that includes elder abuse detection, reporting, and counseling. Senior service providers are required to take the training and receive supplemental refresher training every 3 years. • Senior Citizen and Disabled Rent Increase Exemption: This bill, S.4216, will raise the income eligibility limits for the Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption (SCRIE) and the Disability Rent Increase Exemption (DRIE) programs to $55,000 beginning July 1, 2021. These programs exempt low income seniors and people with disabilities from rent increases. “I am honored to support and protect our seniors so that they remain active, independent and continue contributing to our families and communities,” said Senator Simcha Felder. “The bills we passed will create a more age inclusive society and help seniors on fixed incomes enjoy their retirement years in the neighborhoods they know, in the homes they created with love.” Among the legislation passed by the Senate Majority to help disabled New Yorkers includes: • Disability Support Companion: This bill, S.1035A, allows for the presence of an essential support person for persons with disabilities for the duration of their stay in a general hospital. • Retroactive Rent Increase Relief: This bill, S.3920, will allow applicants who enrolled in the Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption (SCRIE) and Disability Rent Increase Exemption (DRIE) programs after their original date of eligibility to receive a rent reduction beginning with the first day that they became eligible for such benefits. “We must ensure disabled New Yorkers have the opportunities and tools they need to succeed and the protections and access to care that these bills will provide,” Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins said. “They enrich our communities and contribute so much to our state. I am proud of the Senate Majority’s efforts to protect members of our community who need assistance.” “I am proud to provide strong support for people with disabilities and their families. The bills we passed improve safety and care, and direct assistance for individuals fighting for their rights,” said Senator Felder. “Our support for people with disabilities is crucial and I take this responsibility to heart.”

Vues Master’s Note: This is old news! But yes it is important!!

    CHILDREN

    Dear Vues Master:

In Bamidbar 12:14, Hashem said to Moshe, “Were her father to spit in her face, would she not be humiliated for seven days? Let her be quarantined outside the camp for seven days, and then she may be brought in.” Why is the father mentioned? Rabbi Mordechai Kamenetzky says, “Hashem did not want to rebuke Miriam as Master of the Universe. Instead, he used a parental analogy, “If her father would spit.” His rebuke did not come as a King but rather as a Father, hurt and dismayed about how one of his children talked against a sibling.” He used the following story to illustrate his point: William Howard Taft, the 27th President of the United States, was sitting at the supper table with his family one evening, and, as children sometimes do, his son directed a disrespectful remark toward him. Mrs. Taft looked at her husband and exclaimed, “I am sure you will not let that pass unpunished!” Taft replied, “If he directed the remark toward me as President of the United States, I will let it pass as his Constitutional right. However, as a father to his child, I will surely deal with this abuse!” – Rabbi Mordechai Kamenetzky in Jewish Vues p. 49, May 26, 2021. I heard a different answer to this question thirty years ago in Brooklyn; I don’t remember the name of the host or who he quoted. In Genesis, while the Jewish boys were being thrown into the Nile, Miriam went to her father, a week after he had separated from his wife, and asked, does a father fulfill the mitzvah of procreation if he has two boys and they are thrown into the water? He corrected her and said that the mitzvah of peru u’revu is with a son and daughter as it says, God blessed Avraham with all, and the Torah says that he did all the mitzvos. Mariam countered, that means Yitzchak didn’t fulfill all the mitzvos as he had Esau and Yaakov. Amram thought about that and said, if the halacha is accorded to the later authority then I have to have two sons like Yitzchak, and even if the halacha isn’t like him how can I disparage him by not following in his ways. So, he remarried his wife based on Mariam’s position about having two boys. Now fast forward eighty years later, Mariam asks her older brother, Aaron, how can Moshe separate from his wife as has Gershom and Eliezer, he still needs a girl? After she said that she was stricken with leprosy. She had gone against her father and contradicted what she had told him thus he was humiliated and she was deserving of being spat on. We see from here how important it is to keep the traditions of your father and a father shouldn’t hold back from disciplining his children.

    DG

Vues Master’s Note: How true it is! One should be very sensitive to one’s parents as you only have one set of them and they don’t last forever!

    HEREDITY

    Dear Vues Master:

It was said about a man that he had ten daughters and not even one of them was a םכח דימלת תב.

    FD

Vues Master’s Note: Well I say you punish each daughter and keep them grounded until they become a bas talmid chacham. I bet you his wife thinks she is an eishes chayil!

    TUNNEL

    Dear Vues Master:

In the כ”ויו ה”ר ףסומ ינפל ץ”שה תליפת (after ינעה יננה ) the chazzan says before Musaf, ךידובכ אסכ – תחת ךותחתו השנמ השמ תליפתל- תרתחש ומכ (א”נ) You should tunnel under your דובכה אסכ the way you did to השמ (some say, to השנמ) We do find Hashem accepting the תוליפת of השמ on behalf of the לארשי ינב. Where do we find Hashem accepting the תוליפת of השנמ? This seems to be the reason Artscroll removed השנמ and left in its place only השמ. Actually, removing השנמ is a big mistake The true חסונ should be השנמ and not השמ. The printers of the םירוזחמ changed from השנמ to השמ because they were unaware of the Midrash Rabbah ןנחתאו תשרפ. The Midrash says השנמ was captured by רושא ךלמ and was placed in a copper kettle with a lit fire underneath. After השנמ prayed to all his תורז הדובע who couldn’t help him. He davened to Hashem and said “if you won’t help me you will be no different than all the other ז”ע”. The םיכאלמ blocked the windows of the םימש so his תוליפת won’t be heard. However, Hashem tunneled a tunnel under his דובכה אסכ and accepted Menashe’s תוליפת. The chazzan before starting Musaf asks from Hashem that even if the םיכאלמ will block his תוליפת Hashem should do the same as he did to השנמ and accept his תוליפת through the back door (tunnel direct to the דובכה אסכ)

    KI

Vues Master’s Note:Is this what my teacher meant when he said you have tunnel vision? I like this pshat!
