    BDE R’ BZ WEISS

    Dear Vues Master:

I just wanted to acknowledge what a great person

& baal tzedakah R’ Ben Zion (BZ) Weiss

was. He was involved with so many tzedakah

and organizations & will be missed by his family,

the community & all of Klal Yisrael. Yehi

    Zichro Baruch.

    SR

Vues Master’s Note:We will all miss his great

    avodas haKodesh!

    RABBI LAVI GREENSPAN

    Dear Vues Master:

Everyone knows and loves Rabbi Lavi Greenspan

& the article that Ari Hirsch wrote on the chosson

last week in The Jewish Vues was fantastic. It’s

such a great story! Keep up the great work! I just

want to wish Lavi & his kallah Nechama a big

Mazel Tov from all your friends in Flatbush!!

    BS

Vues Master’s Note: I second the motion! Love

    these letters!

    BALL

    Dear Vues Master:

I loved Rav Schachter’s article last week in the

Jewish Vues called “ A Kiddush Hashem?.” It was

obvious that it was referring to Ryan Turel from

the YU Macs that is now playing in the G League

for Detroit. I want to know what Rav Schachter

would pasken as far as Ryan wearing a kippah on

Shabbos. We all know that he shouldn’t be playing

on Shabbos because it’s not shabbosdic, but

if he does play, is it better for him to be wearing

the kippah on Shabbos or taking it off? Maybe he

shouldn’t be wearing a kippah all the time. His

teammates might question him why he wears his

kippah all week long and not on Shabbos. Someone

should ask Rav Schachter because it really

    wasn’t clear in the article.

    HF

Vues Master’s Note: There is no answer! Rabbi

Schachter will only answer the person himself.

For us this article was a wake-up call!

    EXPENSES

    Dear Vues Master:

Why do Yeshivas have so many add on expenses

after charging so much for tuition? They charge

extra for Shabbatons, Yearbook ads, trips, swag

etc. It’s really not fair for parents that struggle to

pay the high tuition price tag to begin with.

    AC

Vues Master’s Note: Because Yeshivas can’t cover

their expenses even after all this extra income.

    ANTI-SEMITISM

    Dear Vues Master:

Last month in NYC there were 45 hate crimes committed

against Jews and 18 incidents for all other

target groups combined! Does Mayor Eric Adams

have a plan to deal with the out-of-control violent

Jew-hatred? Wishful thinking is not a plan!

    DH

Vues Master’s Note: He is a politician, why

should he have a plan? He will talk and do lip

service like all other politicians but nothing gets

    done!

    TRUMP

    Dear Vues Master:

It’s becoming very clear that Trump is not going

to win the presidential election in 2024. I

think that when he had over Kanye West & the

anti Holocaust/anti semite to his house everyone

decided to drop him officially. I think the best

candidate for Klal Yisrael right now is Desantis

    from Florida.

    NK

Vues Master’s Note: There is still plenty of time!

    Time will tell!

    DRUG

    Dear Vues Master:

Millions of Americans rely on Adderall to get them through the day, but a severe shortage of the drug has many people suffering and even turning to the black market to get their hands on it. The FDA has put out a statement about the shortage, saying: “The FDA recognizes the potential impact that reduced availability of certain products may have on health care providers and patients. While the agency does not manufacturer drugs and cannot require a pharmaceutical company to make a drug, make more of a drug, or change the distribution of a drug, the public should rest assured the FDA is working closely with numerous manufacturers and others in the supply chain to understand, mitigate and prevent or reduce the impact of intermittent or reduced availability of certain products. The FDA understands that manufacturers expect availability to continue to increase soon.” In the meantime, what should people who need it do?

Vues Master’s Note: Just get vaccinated for Covid that solves earthquakes and hurricanes etc. Ask Biden!

    CHANGE

    Dear Vues Master:

Brooklyn City Council Member Ari Kagan announced this past Monday that he’s switching political parties, from Democratic to Republican — and launching a general election bid against fellow Brooklyn Council Member Justin Brannan. Standing shoulder-to-shoulder with the council’s other five Republican members, Kagan said he’d been contemplating switching over to the Republican Party for months because the Democrats have moved too far to the left. Kagan said. “And on issue after issue every year, every month, I started to feel that it’s not me leaving the Democratic Party, but the Democratic Party very quickly started to leave me.” Is this going to be a new trend in New York? Being a democrat does not make sense anymore.

    JD

Vues Master’s Note: We will see if he gets re-elected!

    ALL TALK

    Dear Vues Master:

I attended a shul this Shabbos that had a beautiful Davening. However, some people were talking nonstop. I switched my seat and they still didn’t get the hint. Please, enjoy your conversations, OUTSIDE. It is disrespectful to G-d & the congregation. Thank you!

    SP

Vues Master’s Note: Maybe you need to change shuls!

    AGUDAH

    Dear Vues Master:

Rabbi Dr. Aaron Twersky surprised everyone at the Agudah Convention this past weekend when he said that “I used to come to Agudah Conventions and felt comfortable. Why? Because there was a Chassidishe olam. For the last 10 years, it has been going down and down. There are no Chassidim here in the Agudah. We have been uninvited, not formally… “The problem starts because Chassidim are not represented in the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah.” He added that “unless things change, I will tell you….Agudas Yisroel will become irrelevant to Klal Yisroel maybe 3 years from now, 5 years from now.” I actually agree with him 100%. The Agudah has become a Yeshivish organization. Klal Yisrael consists of many different types of Yidden & the Agudah should have representation from all different types of orthodox people.

    RF

Vues Master’s Note: It was a stunt! There are two people on the Moetzes who wear a Shtreimel. This was Agudah looking for attention!

    R’ BZ WEISS

    Dear Vues Master:

I left BZ Weiss a voicemail a few weeks ago when I heard that he wasn’t well and was in the hospital. I always gave him chizuk that we will both IY”H dance together at his daughter’s wedding when she becomes a Kallah. I always davened together with Klal Yisroel for Libby- Liba Yehudis bas Yocheved to have a Refuah Shleima. I remember when she wrote a public letter how her goal after she suffered a stroke was to be able to stand for Shmoneh Esreh! There will IY”H be Techiyas Hameisim B’Korev, and I will get to dance with BZ in front of Libby at her Chasuna!

IYH. Od Yishama B’arei Yehuda U’bchutzos Yerushalayim Kol Sason V’Kol Simcha Kol Chasson V’Kol KALLAH Bkorev Mamash!

    SHIDDUCH CRISIS

    Dear Vues Master:

I appreciated the article last week which pretty much proves that the shidduch crisis isn’t real. If it was really that real, the rabbonim would allow polygamy again! If a girl is 35+ and not married it’s totally her fault. I keep hearing stories of women who say they can’t find a man but would never consider a nice guy who works at a pizza store. It also doesn’t help when a girl isn’t pretty and has nothing going for her to expect Mr. Perfect to just magically walk through the door. You can’t walk into a Lexus dealership with $20k and expect to buy a new car. It’s time these leftover women learned the same lesson.

    -AB

Vues Master’s Note:Here is proof that daas balei batim is hepech daas Torah! It may have been funny the first time you wrote it but now it is redundant and shows illiteracy!

    MEMORY

    Dear Vues Master:

R’ Itzele Mivolozhin was makpid not to speak ill of others. Nevertheless, when he was once asked by someone whether to enter a transaction with a businessman, he felt obligated to indicate that the man’s representations aren’t reliable. He said: “That man has an astonishing memory. There are people who remember things that occurred ten years or even twenty years ago. But this man has such an excellent memory that he remembers things that never happened.”

    MB

Vues Master’s Note: I will try to remember to repeat this joke! Ha! Ha!

    SHOTS

    Dear Vues Master:

Recently, some whistleblowers have charged that the National Guard gave them COVID-19 vaccinations instead of the flu shots they had signed up for. They may bring a lawsuit over this. I would suggest that anyone getting a shot of any kind go to someone you trust to administer it.

    DG

Vues Master’s Note: Trust in the Govt. they mean you’re good! Right?

    SHIDDUCHIM

    Dear Vues Master:

Why are mothers of singles in their high 20’s and older still involved and screening shidduchim for their single children? IMHO this is such a huge boulder standing in the way of singles finding their bashert. Rabbonim truly need to speak about this. When singles reach a certain age they need to handle their dating and Shidduchim on their own or work with a shadchan or dating coach and take their parents out of the process. Parents and singles are not always on the same page when it comes to finding the right person. They might be looking for two very different individuals and that keeps the single from marrying. It is best when a single reaches a certain age and maturity that they handle their own Shidduchim. After all at that age they could have already been married handling their entire lives on their own without their parents’ interference. I just sent a suggestion to a 38 year old male and “Mom” answered me that the shidduch is not what she is looking for. Is it any wonder that he is still single at 38???? Why does she have a say? Why is she not embarrassed to respond to me? Why did he forward it to mom? Why didn’t he answer directly? I’m so frustrated.

    REBBE OR ROSH

    YESHIVA

    Dear Vues Master:

According to the Meiri,a person should always cherish a Bracha from a Talmid Chacham. He should attempt with all his might to receive a Bracha from the Talmid Chacham. It would seem, that if one needs to make a choice between a Rebbe (unknown to be a Talmid Chacham) and a Rosh Yeshiva (Talmid Chacham) one should seek the Bracha from the Rosh Yeshiva.

    MF

Vues Master’s Note: I’ll take a Bracha from both of them!

    FAMILY

    Dear Vues Master:

Then Lavan and Besuel answered and said, The thing comes from the Lord: we cannot speak to you bad or good. – Berashis 24:50 He (Lavan) was a rasha (wicked person) and so rushed in to answer before his father. – Rashi And he went out on the second day, and behold, two Hebrew men were quarreling, and he (Moshe) said to the rasha: Why would you strike your fellow? – Shemos 2:13 Although he had not yet smitten him, he is termed here a rasha because he had merely raised his hand against him. – Rashi The Torah points out two behaviors that reveal that a person is a rasha or this is what caused them to become a rasha. Either way, the Torah doesn’t call a person a rasha until his actions demonstrate it. The Torah focuses on these two cases because it wants to teach the definition of a rasha in detail. For instance, it wasn’t necessary to point out that Besuel, Lavan’s father, was a rasha because he tried to kill Eliezer. One important lesson from this episode is that even if a father is a rasha a child doesn’t have license to be disrespectful to him. What is the common denominator of talking before one’s father and raising one’s hand against a friend? The common denominator is that they are canceling someone. When a son speaks before his father, he is saying you aren’t a father and therefore a nonentity to me. By raising his hand over his friend, he is canceling his friend using intimidation. Canceling someone is worse than ignoring them. When a person ignores someone, for no good reason, he is called a so’nay (a hater) but when someone actively puts someone in their place, he is called a rasha. When someone interrupts a friend, he is called a bore (ignoramus) but when he does that to his father, he is called a rasha. Everyone is equal in G-d’s eyes; however, he made the world that has a hierarchy. When someone forcefully censors his friend or ignores the family structure, he is going against G-d himself.

Vues Master’s Note: It sounds familiar. You have one topic and just harp on it!

    FAMILIAL POLITICS

    Dear Vues Master:

Roosevelt’s New Deal platform created an incredible number of different federal agencies to carry out new policies and regulations. Almost all these agencies had an acronym like the CCC, TVA, or HOLC. Therefore, these collectively came to be known as FDR’s “Alphabet Soup Agencies” or just “Alphabet Agencies.” – Google There are “Alphabet Agencies” everywhere like CCY and ADL. ADL called Addidus to cancel Kanye just like CCY called my son to cancel me. I think “alphabet” (i.e., aleph, bet – av – father) without the “agencies” is the solution for salvation. Solution and salvation are similar as a solution takes a person out of doubt. Here is an example: The Hebrew word for ark is “tav, bais, hey” and this is what saved Noach and his family and the world. Knowing the modern-day ark is the secret for salvation. The simple concept of the ark is that it had two sides and people on board. Take the tav and hey, which are the end letters, to represent the two sides of the ark and the middle letter to represent the people. The people are the four families and “bais” means house or family. If you take the two end letters, tav and hey, and flip them over you get an image of a boat like “U”. Using atbash, where you flip the first letter with the last letter and the second letter to the second to last letter, you get tav to be aleph and hey to be tzadi. When you combine this with the middle letter you get aleph, bais, tzadi. Which is “av Tzadik” or “righteous father.” This fit in well with the first line in parsha’s Noach: These are the children of Noacĥ (father): Noacĥ was a righteous man (tzadik) and perfect in his generations, and Noacĥ walked with G-d. So, salvation is being a righteous father and a righteous father must be a righteous son as it says, “If I come back to my father’s house in peace, then the Lord shall be my G-d” – Genesis 28:21. Lavan was called a wicked person for not respecting his wicked father, so peace starts with the son! A wife who respects and honors her husband, more than the children, is the real builder of the ark.

Vues Master’s Note: Wow this week we get two letters for the price of one!
